- paying directly – self funding patients
- paying through your insurance company – medically insured patients
If you are settling your bill directly
Following your test, treatment or consultation, you will be given a detailed invoice by the receptionist and you will be required to settle that amount before you leave.Alexander House can accept payment by cash, cheque, Switch, Visa or Mastercard
If your insurance company will be settling your bill
If we have the authorisation from your insurance company Alexander House will then send you invoices directly to your insurance company who will normally pay us directly. If we do not have authorisation then we will have to ask you to pay the full amount on the day and you will then be able to reclaim this from your insurance company yourself.
To get authorisation from your insurance company
- Contact your insurance company to check that your policy will cover you for the test/consultations that you require. You will usually need a referral letter from your GP before the insurance company will authorise payment.
- Your insurance company may require your consultant to complete a claim form before authorisation can be completed.
- Your insurance company will normally provide you with an authorisation number to confirm that they will pay for the test. You must provide this authorisation number to Alexander House before you have your test.
- They will also advise you of any shortfalls or excesses on your policy. If you do have shortfalls or excess amounts from your policy you will be responsible for paying these amounts directly to Alexander House on the day of your test. This can be done by cash, cheque, Switch, Visa or Mastercard
