Austin Ugwumadu is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at St George's Hospital, and a Senior Lecturer University of London. He qualified from the University of Lagos, Nigeria and undertook his postgraduate training in the London South Thames West region.

He has a broad interest in general obstetrics and gynaecology, and a particular interest in the management of difficult, recurrent, and persistent vulval and vaginal irritation, thrush and bacterial vaginosis. His research contribution and clinical expertise in the management of gynaecological and perinatal infections, late pregnancy loss and preterm delivery are recognised nationally and internationally.
